[A slow nod of understanding]

A burst of sunlight
startles the iris of your eyes,
making them shimmer
and sparkle in ways
that move my soul like
no other can.

And the only word that comes
to mind is
"Wow..."

A rush of emotion threatens to
overtake me,
drown me in a torrent of feeling,
and this time,
I let it.

Looking back, seeing no regrets,
confirming my thoughts
