In the annals of life
the historian writes
of sins and misdeeds,
misgivings and greed,
focused only on self,
rejecting all help,
unable to see.
Now in the Book of Life
the Historian rights.
The story now tells
how I crawled from my shell,
out of the night,
into the light,
and became free.
